Invitation to Bid: Remodeling of Piikani Lodge Health Institute Offices

Piikani Lodge Health Institute is seeking qualified contractors to submit bids for the remodeling of our office facilities. This project includes the construction of a new deck, roof repairs, new flooring, and other necessary renovations determined with the contractor to enhance our operational efficiency and improve the overall environment for our staff and clients.
Project Scope:
● Design and construction of a new deck
● Roof repairs and upgrades including gutter repairs as needed
● Add and/or move gutter downspouts to manage water pooling near the house
● Interior renovations to optimize office space
● Removing old carpet and replacing with new flooring
● Fresh paint throughout the entire upstairs of the house
● Fresh paint throughout the entire downstairs of the house including basement sealer
● Removal of all old and ruined insulation from the basement
● Removal of all old materials from the basement down to the studs
● Possible mold remediation
● Egress windows in basement
● Grading and gravel layer sloping away from the house for moisture management
● Duct work removed or redone
● Add fireplace damper and inspect/clean fireplace for safety
● Review and remedy potential electrical and plumbing hazards
● Ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations

Wellness Program Director

Terms: Full-time Salaried (12-month Calendar)
Salary/rate: Negotiable depending on experience, education, and organizational growth. (range: $70,000 to $78,000)

Position Summary:Piikani Lodge Health Institute (PLHI) has grown into a leader in Native-led climate solutions with programs that conserve land, resources, and strengthen community resilience. Our initiatives employ and mentor community members, including youth interns, who gain training in climate adaptation and sustainable practices. Building on this foundation, PLHI is expanding to address human wellness and well-being more directly.
Essential Tasks and Duties:
The Wellness Program Director will lead the creation of a wellness program that compliments PLHI’s climate and agriculture work. This role will design and deliver a culturally grounded wellness program to include culture camps and toolkits that provide accessible low-cost methods for protecting wellbeing in challenging conditions. Working closely with PLHI leadership, the Director will secure resources, build partnerships, and ensure that wellness programming reflects Indigenous values while strengthening the vitality of the “Piikani Nation.”
Responsibilities
Set organizational goals, develop long term strategic objectives, and determine policies for PLHI wellness programs.
Develop, implement, and evaluate wellness programs and initiatives that are evidence- based and culturally appropriate.
Assess community wellness needs, develop outreach and education programs, and build partnerships with community groups and other agencies.
Lead efforts to secure funding for both the Wellness Program and the Director’s position, ensuring long-term sustainability.
Prepare and administer budgets, manage grants, and contracts, and steward external funding opportunities in collaboration with PLHI leadership.
Candidate Requirements
Native hiring preference as per 42 U.S.C. § 2000e-2(I) (1982) and Blackfeet Nation TERO Ordinance.
The successful candidate will:
Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field such as community and public health, food and nutrition, biomedical science, “or equivalent experience.”
Have a minimum of three years of experience in securing and managing federal and private grants and contracts.
Possess demonstrated experience in conducting Native wellness research in Native communities and is familiar with research ethics and the Institutional Review Board process.
Knowledge of public health laws and regulations
We seek a leader who brings both professional expertise and lived experience in Native communities, with a commitment to community, ethical research, and relational accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
Hold a master’s degree or doctorate in a related field such as community and public health, food and nutrition, biomedical science, or similar field.
Have demonstrated ability to work independently and proactively in project management, proposal development, and research.
